International Symposium: 4-5 June 2026
The symposium “Narrating Ireland: Social Transformation and Individual Development” is organised by Prof. Dr. Sandra Heinen, Prof. Dr. Katharina Rennhak, and Dr. Loic Wright. It is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Loic Wright was the “Visiting Professor in Irish Studies” at the University of Wuppertal from 1 October 2025 to 30 March 2026. The Travelling Visiting Professor in Irish Studies is a scheme funded predominantly by the Irish Government (Emigrant Support Programme: Irish Studies) and co-funded by the University of Wuppertal.
